30 Days of Jurno
A guided practice in self-awareness, mental clarity, and journaling.
30 Days of Jurno is a guided practice that builds resilience as an everyday skill. It incorporates new research and lived experiences, but is designed to be useful for everyone, especially teens and young adults.
We'll learn about the four pillars of resilience:
- Notice
What's happening inside — thoughts, feelings, sensations - Articulate
Finding words for your inner experience — context, nuance, granularity - Understand
Recognizing patterns — triggers, thought loops, strategies - Integrate
Carrying what you've learned forward — motivation, intention, purpose
Each pillar builds on the last. Each day includes a core concept for that pillar, an exercise, and a journaling prompt.
Journaling is an effective way for observing, processing, and making meaning from our experiences, but you don't need to know how to journal. We will be introducing it slowly along with other tools that help access and orient our self understanding in new ways.
How to Use It
- For Individual Reflection
The guide is most flexible for solo readers. Progress at your own pace, and dive deep into the concepts that feel most helpful. Following the guide in order is recommended for those who prefer a bit more structure. - For Classroom Use
The mindfulness and awareness daily exercises help students focus and build awareness. Use the exercise as a 5-10 minute warmup to class, the weekly pillars as discussions for deeper engagement, or the journaling prompt as a reflective activity. - For Self-Help Groups or Orgs
Each week’s pillar can be run independently as a workshop. The pillar can be the central theme, and the core concepts from each day can be discussion points during the workshop. Encourage participants to express personal viewpoints, and share their various experiences. - The Inner World Map and The Everything Lexicon are interactive tools for exploring how we think and feel.

Noticing gives you room to respond instead of react. You can choose the path forward with intention.
